If it has to do with space, there’s a decent chance 6 yo Obi knows it already

About a week ago, I went to explain Cherenkov Radiation to Obi. Things to know about that:
1. Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum (call that speed C1)
2. Light travels more slowly than that when it is passing through other media, eg air, water, glass (call that speed C2)
3. When something travels faster than the speed of light in the media through which it is traveling (faster than C2 but slower than C1), it emits blue light which is called Cherenkov Radiation

I asked Obi “can anything travel faster than light?”
Obi: in a vacuum, no
me: nothing is faster than light?
Obi: not unless it’s animated
me: can light travel faster than light?
I don’t remember what he said, but it was clear he knew that light goes slower in water, etc
I laughed out loud and told him I can’t explain anything to him because he already knows it all. But I did tell him about the blue glow which he thought was neat
