   I love this show. I own the first two DVD volumes and quote it more than people realize.
2. games:
   I like all kinds of games! Card games(there’s a specific one I could mention here), board games, video games, party games with no equipment, you name it, I’ll probably play. I may even enjoy the heck out of it, especially if I win.
3. libertarianism:
   I am a follower. You should be, too. I owe it all to CaptiousDuality. My best friend.
4. mtg:
   That’s the specific one I could’ve mentioned! Magic: the Gathering, to the uninitiated, is a Trading card game in the style of pokemon and yu-gi-oh, though mtg was the FIRST game of the kind. 1993, Richard Garfield started it all. Now you can make over $30,000 playing magic in one weekend, if your qualified for the Pro Tour.
5. ookla the mok:
   The self-proclaimed “Nerdiest Band in the World” really knows how to sum themselves up. With song topics ranging from math to comics to old sci-fi tv shows, these guys are right up my alley.
6. physics:
   I love physics. When I finally get enough school done that I can select a real major, I have a strong feeling this will be it. What little experience I have with it, particularly in a formal academic setting, is that I understand physics better than all of my peers(even more so than in other classes where I feel slightly ahead of the curve)
7. rubik’s cube:
   I think I’ll be consistently under 60 seconds any day now, I’m getting decidedly better at the F2L, and I now know 8 of 13 PLL algs. Plus I move the cube faster every single day. It’s a blast.
8. tempurpedic samples:
   I noticed someone else I respect listed this as an interest, and I wanted to add it immediately because the offer on the commercial genuinely “interested” me, so it felt legit, but I waited. Them somebody showed up at the shop with one, and I couldn’t wait any longer.
9. the fourth dimension:
   I am aware that you think I mean time, but I am actually referring to the(theoretical?) concept of a fourth spatial dimension. And while I don’t really struggle with the math or the conceptualization from a standpoint of strictest reason, I have some very interesting ideas pertaining to this concept, some of which are more than borderline mysticism. Let me know if you want to hear them.
10. the simpsons:
    If you know me, you know this is interest NUMBER ONE. Excepting only mtg, perhaps. I Love The Simpsons. My current most prized possession is my collection of every episode ever on about 8 CDRs.

This is not about a volcano, though. I owe this journal so much information, I feel like the total slacker I am. I’ve been arrested. Air Soft Guns have come to Ogre’s Cards. My former place of residence is smothered in old toys, the stuff of garages, basements and, especially, yard sales. My new place of residence is actually quite nice.

Last night was one of the most intense experiences of my life. I can’t even talk about it here. It was so much bigger in terms of helping me understand myself than the arrest, which you may already know about(Sarah) or be dying to hear about(everyone else[I know I would be]).

It was the kind of experience that brought out the best in the best of us who were there, and brought out the worst in the rest.
Vroman did something I can’t really wrap my head around despite it meshing perfectly with the picture I have in my mind of his character.

I wish I could say more. It can only come out in person, and there’s about two people in the world I feel comfortable discussing it with who weren’t there to experience it all firsthand.

As for my secondary employment, I am now committed to eBay, where I post old toys, for my Ogre Taskmaster under the name grandpasyardsale. Look For My Auctions! not really. It’s so stupid. I am such a salesman whore. I hate the stuff I am selling, for the most part. And the cool stuff I can’t bear to put down long enough to actually post. I am not suited to this work. I will try to do my best, of course.

As always, my guitar is improving. I find it is something I genuinely care about. Sort of a point of pride, by now. My cubing is slipping slightly, however. Although I am halfway through memorizing the PLL algs, I seem to be slowing slightly, as my average is now consistently between 60 and 70 seconds, instead of under 60, as it was previously. Oh well, I haven’t been practicing enough. Gotta go now, I’m about four hours overdue for my nightly sleep. Later.

I don’t even know why I did this. It was basically just a waste of time. Interesting to note, however, is that my guitar playing is coming along well. I am able to play some of my favorite offspring songs with some proficiency. Feel free to ignore the cut.

Well, I’ll be in town this weekend(for once) and apparently Christine is leaving town for a family vacation that will last a week. She leaves Saturday morning. I type this at 8pm Friday night still uncertain whether I will get to see her before she leaves. I find out after 10. So, it looks like I’ll have all week to memorize the algorithms I’d been putting off learning. Maybe my friend Sarah will come visit me sometime.

OgreCon I was this weekend. I judged all day Saturday and Sunday, which was a great time. The only problem was that I was slightly tired both days, partly because I had decided around a week ago to cut back on sugar, which so far has resulted in me drinking absolutely no soda since like, last sunday, I think, and eating no candy with sugar in that same time frame.

What follows is one of the most esoteric things I have ever written. Hopefully, in the future, I can write more things which are like this in subject matter, only superior in quality. I think I should have a lot to contribute to the magic community, but this isn’t it, so I shall post it here, where it will be so misunderstood or ignored, there is virtually no risk of negative criticism.

For those who are so bold as to click, please remember that I considered scrapping this entirely as it didn’t feel right halfway through, and kept seeming worse and worse as I went along. I posted it because it has to go somewhere, I made it dammit.
